I Keep Hearing The Population is Exploding!!!

I keep hearing conflicting statements about population explosion and population control. I think it is kind of scary that I am beginning to hear these terms thrown around even on Fox News.

It seems to me if we didn't abort babies, we'd have the people working to support the explosion in population that is the baby boomers and social security would not be bankrupt. Everyone is so concerned about the aging population it's almost like they are hinting at the idea of killing off the boomers at times. Of course, we have Daschle suggesting they just hurry up and die and not get any medical care and accept the problems of age. So much for advancements in medicine that help increase our lifespan.

I keep hearing we should support abortion as a means to control population, which is exploding (apparently). But I am also hearing reports that the USA birth rate is far below that of other countries. What is the truth here? I think the truth is the culture of death is promoting abortions and assisted suicide.

Also, where does this thinking lead? It leads us to conclude that non-producers need to be exterminated. So, the disabled, elderly, young and defenseless and ill should be killed since they cannot contribute? This type of thinking was made popular before under Hitler. What did they call them in Nazi Germany? It was something like "eaters".

I am really concerned when I hear talking heads on Fox News saying "especially with this population explosion, people shouldn't be having babies". Excuse me? This is the USA, we have plenty of resources for population growth if only we would put humans before animals.

I think we need to hear some intelligent debate as to what this population explosion is and if it even exists. Why with all of America's resources do we need to ration the family size. I have heard people saying it is not right for a family to be bigger than 4 or 5. That's insane, who is going to enforce such a thing and who does it really penalize and what groups would it benefit?

What is behind this thinking? I am going to be keeping my ears to the ground and my eyes peeled for anything dealing with this issue.

I have to say though, you are either for life or not. I'm for life. I cannot support rationing babies, abortions, or assisted suicides, etc. in the name of population control. That is clearly letting fear be in charge of our decision making and God is not the author of fear. Yet, that is the problem, we are dealing with a nation of people who do not know God.
